GLOBAL
WARMING
What is a Global Warming?
Global Warming is the gradual increase of global temperature, including land, water, and air. Since the middle of 20th century, Earth has gradually become warmer because of greenhouse gases.
Global Warming Controversy
Global Warming has been a controversial issue regarding the nature of it along with the consequences. Some people believe that global warming is happening due to human activity while others believe that global warming is just a myth even a hoax and the increase in global temperature is a natural phenomena.
Reasons that support
Global Warming as hoax
According to NASA report, there is change in global average temperature. According to the trend, the temperature has gone warmer. People believe that this changes happened because of increase of carbon dioxide that cause greenhouse effect. Others doubt about what the data reports because satellite data showed the opposite trend. However, this opposite trend only show information in the upper atmosphere. Some scientist believed that Earth is very resistant in climate change thus the effect of global warming will not result in any catastrophic damage. All living being will adapt to the climate changes. They are sure that since Global Warming is accepted worldwide and that the use of green house gases decrease, it will damage the economic system. There is a theory that actually greenhouse effect is due to water vapor or the increase of solar activity. It is possible that carbon dioxide has nothing to do with global warming. The change in climate is something natural as there are tectonic plate, ocean current, or volcanoes activities. Through out history, there is no relation between amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and the earth temperature.
Conspiracy Theory
Scientists had used computer models to prove a baseline that the increase in industrial activity was the main cause in the increase of Earth temperature. The solutions toward this issues decided by the government was to increase the rapid development of economic growth, rise living standards, the application of capitalism and increased economic activity. Now, to compensate for the reduction in the use of fossil fuels and the restrictions on the use of automobiles, higher taxes are applied for each citizen. Politics do take a huge role in the science of Global Warming and that is to expand the power of world's elite by using government policy to control the lives of people everywhere. Global Warming is just another tool for a special group of people in order to take over the lifestyle of people in the world.

1. Do you think that Global Warming is a natural phenomena or something that is caused by human activity (the use of carbon dioxide)?
It can be caused by natural phenomena but more because of human activities.
2. Do you think that the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere effects the change in temperature? If so, why?
Yes, because it traps solar radiation that heats the Earth.
3. Other than carbon dioxide, what do you think is another factor of change in climate?
Methane gas, water vapor, volcanic activity, sunspot.
4. If Global Warming is really happening, do you think that the increase of solar activity, volcanoes activity, and tectonic movement might be another reason for the change of temperature?
Yes.
5. Do you think the earth is capable of resisting climate change?
Not if it keeps getting warmer.
6. Do you believe that global warming will not produce any major catastrophic damage? Why or why not?
I do not. Some evidences have shown that the sea level has been increasing that may cause flooding; some areas will get warmer and may cause drought and decrease food production. The ice caps melt and may cause the organisms lose its habitat.
7. Do you believe that the economic damage caused by the reduction of emission gas is more severe than the damage caused by global warming? Why or why not?
No I do not. As been stated above, if earth keeps getting warmer, it may cause disasters. People tend to value things that could provide economical benefit and forget to value the environment.
8. What is your opinion on global warming?
Global warming is a factual issue; we could not ignore the scientific evidences that have been collected for several years.

1. Do you think that Global Warming is a natural phenomena or something that is caused by human activity (the use of carbon dioxide)?
Global warming is actually caused by enhanced green house effect. There are 2 things you have to mind from my previous statement: enhanced and green house effect. Green house effect is actually a natural phenomenon that helps to warm up the earth by trapping green house gases (including carbon dioxide). The second thing, enhanced, due to human activity that mostly produced carbon dioxide emission, the green house gas layer is getting thicker and therefore increase the temperature globally. So, I think global warming is cased by human activity.
2. Do you think that the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere effects the change in temperature? If so, why?
Yes. It has proven from scientific investigation about green house gas effects. Please read more resources about this natural phenomenon.
3. Other than carbon dioxide, what do you think is another factor of change in climate?
I think many other factors interact with climate both internal (things that happen on earth) and external (things that happen on the space). Internal could be methane emission (from cattle excrement), CFC emission (this gas causes holes in ozone layer so UV can penetrate more into the earth). External could be the position of the earth relative to the sun (due to rotation and revolution)
4. If Global Warming is really happening, do you think that the increase of solar activity, volcanoes activity, and tectonic movement might be another reason for the change of temperature?
Yes, see my previous answer.
5. Do you think the earth is capable of resisting climate change?
As far as the variables (that involves in climate change) that we can control. If it's the position of the sun that is the main factor, I don't think we can control it (as what happened during ice age)
6. Do you believe that global warming will not produce any major catastrophic damage? Why or why not?
I believe so, because many organisms are temperature sensitive. Changes in temperature in 1-2 degrees Celsius could mean a death sentence for them as what happens to coral bleaching.
7. Do you believe that the economic damage caused by the reduction of emission gas is more severe than the damage caused by global warming? Why or why not?
No. There is an inspiring quotation for this:
"When the Last Tree Is Cut Down, the Last Fish Eaten, and the Last Stream Poisoned, You Will Realize That You Cannot Eat Money"
So, what we have to do is not just stopping the consumption the fossil fuel to support economics growth, but to think other sources of energy that will produce less pollution. I think global warming will eventually lead to more severe economic damage since organic natural resources will not survive thus ruining the economics growth.
8. What is your opinion on global warming?
Let's stop it! But, we need to create a systematic problem solving for this, not only individual actions. Fix the public transport service to reduce private car usage, fix the goods distribution system so less distance to travel, promote locally produced commodity to cut the food mile, and so on.
